The Flodka cabinet, designed as my graduation project during my Engineering degree at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, maintains its availability for purchase since 2020, with over 400 units sold. Its appeal has also garnered significant recognition in various magazines, even gracing the cover of JAN magazine. With a notable grade of 9.0, this cabinet's enduring charm lies in its adaptable modular frame, making it suitable for diverse environments. In alignment with the trendy reputation of the Zuiver brand, the Flodka cabinet remains a stylish and versatile piece of furniture.
The Flodka Cabinet in Elle-Deco.
This design emerged with a keen focus on the (then-emerging) trend of Wabi-Sabi, reflecting Zuiver's commitment to sustainability. It originated from a thorough exploration of gaps in the Zuiver collection, coupled with extensive research into the target audience's preferences and needs. The result is a product that beautifully blends the elements of Wabi-Sabi aesthetics, sustainability, and functionality, catering to both the evolving design trends and the practical demands of its users.

In conjunction with my cabinet design, I meticulously crafted a thesis perfectly styled to match the branding of Zuiver. Within the thesis, I provided a comprehensive account of the decision-making process behind every facet of the design. With multiple objectives guiding the design, I meticulously detailed how I successfully met each one. This thesis remains a source of immense pride for me, and it's noteworthy that my school continues to use it as a benchmark for current and future students, emphasizing its exceptional quality and its value as a reference for exemplary thesis work.
